    Rami Beracha’s advice to students of Herzliya’s Interdisciplinary Center is based on his own personal experience. When he was young, Rami was adamant about pursuing a law degree. Though he was unsure if it was the right path for him, he decided to continue his law studies, got an MBA in New York, and then worked abroad in a law firm. He realized that he had a passion more in business than law while working in a Wall Street law firm. He left his job and moved to France to take on an MBA.

    After completing her studies in 1996, Beracha was employed by the Venture Capital Fund Pitango. Pitango is Israel’s largest venture capital investment company. Pitango is a fund that focuses on startups that are that are developing the core areas of high tech, has received over 200 investments from its investors and has exited more than 85 companies so far. Rami was made managing partner in 2000. In the following 18 years the company was involved in a variety of deals which resulted in successful exits to large corporations in the Fortune 500 like Broadcom, Marvel and Cisco.

Rami was the leader of an army group that helped injured soldiers on a 2016 journey to Nepal. In 2018, he was promoted to major in the Israeli army’s fire and paratrooper brigades. He had dreams when he was when he was a teenager and they came true despite the many difficulties. His story and his passion are a true inspiration to others. Rami didn’t let his injuries hold her back. He kept trying new things, learning and growing until he became stronger than he was before.
